St. Gregory Church Additions Renovations
Additions and Renovations to the St. Gregory Church are nearing completion!
The St. Gregory parish is energetically pursuing upgrades to its Church. Primary goals have been to reconfigure the sanctuary to provide an appropriate context for the performance of the liturgy, to add seating and to create a readily identifiable Catholic presence on University Drive. The strategy has been to absorb two side porches into the interior and to provide a central tower at the West side of the Church. The community specifically required that the reconfigured church be ‘Mission’ style. Accordingly, Kosinski has worked with the structural configuration of the existing edifice to create a building which references Mission precedent. In addition to providing the Catholic identity at the exterior, the tower provides a reservation at the interior adjacent to the sanctuary to provide an inspired space for liturgical action.
